ASSET-BASED LENDING
We represent lenders and borrowers in structuring, performing due diligence and negotiating the documentation necessary for both single lender and syndicated asset-based lending transactions. We have experience with cross-border transactions and subordinated lending transactions.
Examples of our work include:
- Representing an international financial institution as a lender in structuring a secured lending transaction (enterprise mortgage) with a local beverages plant; drafting and negotiating transaction documents; executing and perfecting the security interest
ISLAMIC FINANCE
As part of our Islamic Finance practice, we regularly advise financial institutions and private investors on a wide range of Shariah-compliant transactions including, Mudabarah, Bai' al 'inah (sale and buy back), Ijarah, Sukuk and Takaful. Our lawyers have deep understanding of how the concepts used in Islamic finance transactions apply locally and develop innovative ways to ensure that transactions can be completed smoothly.

CAPITAL MARKETS
The lawyers from our Capital Markets practice group have extensive experience advising issuers, international financial institutions, banks, private equity funds, hedge funds, securities intermediaries (including brokers, dealers and depositories) and private investors in various types of debt and equity financings, including public and private offerings, secondary issuances of debt and equity. Our lawyers also advise our clients on various matters, including structured finance, derivatives, cross-border offerings, and compliance with securities regulations.
